I ama 12-year-old mule and have been at Longmeadow Rescue Ranch since October 2009. I am a sweet mule with long ears and I bray like a donkey! I am more smart than stubborn. I am trained for riding and know leg cues.

How I got to Longmeadow is an interesting story. I came to the ranch with an emaciated thoroughbred mare. The mare came in to the Ranch because the owner could not manage to care for her basic needs, like feed, and he sent me with her. I was in better shape than her, but I still needed to have my feet trimmed, teeth floated, vaccinations, and I needed a more nutritious diet to make my coat look better.

I have lived with mares, geldings, donkeys and cattle. I get along with everyone. I would be a trusty trail mount. Similar to many mules, I'm very smart and for this reason Longmeadow recommends an adopter with horse owning experience to teach me the right habits.
