Winston
Winston was rescued from deplorable conditions along with hundreds of other animals in Augusut 2008. Winston was severely malnourished and was suffering from a major skin infection causing him to lose much of his hair. Once he arrived at the Humane Society, he was given the proper food and medication to help him completely recover. Less than three months later he was adopted into his forever home. |

Energetic Barkley
She was full of mischief and energy as any typical 10-month-old growing dog. And she sent “I love you” messages with every sloppy kiss and every wag of her tail.
Barkley came into the Humane Society as a stray in July, 2007. She was a very sweet dog who just needed some love, attention and proper training. Barkley patiently waited for a second chance in a new forever home. And, of course, providing second chances is what we do best. Proceeds from Bark in the Park benefit dogs like Barkley by providing her with veterinary care during her stay with us. Happily, Barkley found her second chance on March 3, 2008. |

Tinkerbell the Basset
Tinkerbell was an 8-month-old Basset Hound with beautiful eyes and a golden disposition. But Tinkerbell’s original family had to surrender her due to a health issue. Even a few days in the shelter were rough on her even though our staff gave her all the love they could. Tinkerbell had an ear infection, worms and an upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia. After receiving treatments for her ailments, Tinkerbell was ready for adoption and found her new forever home after being on the adoption floor for only two days! After lots of hard work and socialization, Tinkerbell settled into her new home. She now loves curling up with her new owners in her forever home. | |
