Humane Society of Missouri Offers Reward in Dog Shooting Case
Dog shot in North St. Louis County this morning

May 13, 2010-The Humane Society of Missouri is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who shot a five-year-old Pit Bull on Wilborn Drive in Jennings this morning.

Five-year-old Pit Bull, Roc, was brought to the Humane Society of Missouri Veterinary Medical Center by his owner this morning.  He had been shot in the shoulder. Roc, a people-friendly dog, was in his own fenced yard when he was shot.  Humane Society of Missouri veterinarians treated and released him this afternoon.  Fortunately, the bullet did not hit a bone, so Roc is expected to make a full recovery.

The owner reported the incident to the Jennings Police this morning. The Humane Society of Missouri will work in cooperation with the Jennings Police Department in their investigation of this incident.
